Kevin Shider comes from a family full of talented musicians who are still active in the music business today. Growing up along side his brother, Gary Shider who is the "premier" vocalist,writer,producer,arranger and guitarist for Parliament-Funkadelic, Kevin had the priviledge and opportunity to learn his craft from the best. Over the years, Kevin perfected his own talent as a writer,producer,arranger, guitarist and vocalist, while performing in bands, originating in Plainfield, New Jersey-home of the PFunk.
"Funkin' it Aloose" is Kevin's debut CD which gives his audience a glimpse at his creativity, originality and musicianship. Staying true to his Funk roots, Kevin demonstrates his natural ability as a Funk vocalist,writer and guitarist throughout the CD. The CD also features a bit of Kevin's R & B roots as well. Kevin is presently performing with Original P, featuring original Parliament-Funkadelic members Grady Thomas and Fuzzy Haskins while producing various artists in both Funk and Gospel genres.
